Remote Camera Control System

 

A complete control system for controlling and monitoring remote video cameras

Designed by Applied Logic Engineering, Inc. (www.appliedlogiceng.com), this system is PC based and allows the user to remotely control the functions of the attached video camera / recorder.  In addition, the composite video output from the camera is integrated into the PC’s software to allow real time monitoring of the actual image being recorder by the camera.

 

The system is capable of remotely controlling the following camera / recorder functions:

 

             * Zoom In                                                            * Play

             * Zoom Out                                                         * Record

             * Manual / Auto Focus                                    * Rewind

             * Focus In                                                           * Fast Forward

             * Focus Out                                                        * Stop

             * Manual / Auto White Balance

             * Manual White Balance Set

             * Power Up from sleep mode

             * Power camera off

The system consists of the following components:

 

1) A USB to RS-232 converter to transmit and receive commands from the PC to the ALE LANC Controller

2) Applied Logic Engineering’s LANC controller

3) A USB to composite video converter for making the camera’s video output available to the PC

4) Applied Logic’s Remote Camera Control software application
