Little Long Lake

 

Little Long Lake is located in the western metro area, north west of Lake Minnetonka.  It is a small, spring fed lake that has average visibility.

 

Features include a gradual, sloping bottom and lots of fish.  Large Northern Pike are common.

 

Little Long Lake is used by some dive shops for open water training anf for “fun” dives.  There is a public boat landing on the northeast corner of the lake.  Parking is provided at no cost.

 

Directions to Little Long Lake

 

Go west on Highway 12  from the metro area.  Turn on County Road 6 for about 4 miles.  Then turn left on Game Farm Road and go south about 1 mile to the public landing.

Dive Location :  Off boat landing — NE corner of lake

Depth : average 20 feet, Max 50 feet

Visibility : averages 5-8 feet
