Swan |

The Swan was a flat-bottomed river steamer that was used to carry passengers and cargo in the upper Mississippi River. It was owned by J.M Markham and was placed into service in 1894.
In 1898, the Swan burned at the mouth of the Ripple (Mud) River and sunk.
The wreck is located approximately 50 feet upstream in the Mississippi River from the Ripple River. During times of low water, portions of the wreck are exposed. |
